The IFTA Gala Television Awards took place last night at the Double Tree Hilton Ballroom. The star-studded ceremony was hosted by Amanda Byram and showcased the highest standard of Irish Television over the last twelve months.

We are delighted to share that Brendan O’Carroll received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Comedy following the worldwide success of multi award-winning Mrs. Brown’s Boys. The award was presented to Brendan by Gay Byrne who gave a wonderfully moving tribute including messages from many familiar faces including our own rory Cowan, Joe Duffy, Roddy Doyle, Pauline McLynn and many more.

Mrs. Brown’s Boys are also thrilled to have received the award for best comedy for the second time.

The Awards Ceremony will be televised on TV3 tonight, Friday 23rd October 2015 at 9pm.
